Putting…

…your mental health first is difficult. Life can feel overwhelming. Pressures are high.

But in the last week, an estimated 1 in 6 UK adults will have experienced a ‘common mental disorder’ such as depression, or anxiety.

So we need to get better at looking after ourselves, and golf is a fantastic way of doing this.

Space

Golf brings us outside into nature, which slows down our stress response and induces calm.

Your local driving range, pitch and putt, or a full-size course: mentalitee is dedicated to getting you out there golfing in any form, so you can enjoy a little room to breathe.

Focus

Golf centres the mind, presenting gentle challenges that distract us from the everyday grind.

It’s a space where people accept perfection is not possible, so we can just keep trying to get a little better and have fun on the way. mentalitee embraces and promotes this uniquely positive outlook.

Friendship

Golf boosts social interaction and, by doing so, can help reduce the risk of anxiety and depression while improving wellness, self-esteem and self-worth.

mentalitee is here to make sure all of us always have someone to talk to, whether it’s outside playing golf, or through our online forum.

How it works

mentalitee offers tuition to beginners, or those who’ve been away from the game for a while, through a network of PGA instructors who kindly volunteer their time to offer small, group-based teaching sessions. Contact us using the form below and we’ll book you onto a session near you. It won’t cost you anything, and if you find it’s not for you there’s no obligation to carry on; just let us know and we’ll remove your details from our user list.

But we’re confident that once you’ve given golf a go, you’ll want to take it further, and mentalitee is here to support that. Fancy working on your new swing at the local driving range? We’ve a wealth of learner resources to offer you. Ready to try playing on a course? mentalitee will signpost the way. And if you’re already a golfer, there’s plenty for you, too: articles, video content, book reviews and recommendations covering golf, mental health, and where the two cross over. Click here to start exploring.

Most importantly of all, as a member of the mentalitee community you’re part of a mental health support network. We have information on crisis resources, and our online forum offers a safe space to talk about whatever’s on your mind.
